Davar Yousefi

Davar Yousefi (b. 1963, Ardabil, Iran) holds a BA and MA in painting from Islamic Azad University and has taught at Sooreh, Alzahra, and Islamic Azad universities. A member of the Association of Iranian Painters, he has held solo exhibitions at Aria Gallery (1994, 1996), Barg Gallery (2004), Momayyez Gallery (2007), Sareban Gallery (2019), and N Gallery, Paris (2023), alongside group shows in Canada, the UAE, South Korea, Kuwait, Turkey, Italy, and Greece. His work is known for a naturalistic palette and flattened, profile-facing human and animal figures recalling ancient art traditions; he has also created public mosaic murals in Tehran.
