Alireza Asanloo

Alireza Asanloo (b. c. 1974–75, Tehran, Iran) is a largely self-taught painter and sculptor who studied under Morteza Katoozian. He has created bronze portrait busts of prominent Iranian cultural figures, including Ezzatollah Entezami, Abbas Kiarostami, and Forough Farrokhzad. In late 2016 he was recognized as best among some fifty artists at the first Paris Art Fair Award / UNESCO International Painting Symposium. He held the solo exhibition “Who’s That?” at Shirin Gallery, Tehran, in February 2019. He lives and works in Tehran.
