Azin Zolfaqari

Azin Zolfaqari (b. 1982, Neyshabur, Iran) is a painter and graphic designer, a graduate with honors in painting from Tehran University of Art. Her practice treats the walls and facades of city buildings as a kind of skin, often rendered in hyperrealist detail. She won the 2022 Sovereign Asian Art Prize for “Density,” a hyperrealist painting of a weathered apartment facade.
